Second language learning within an Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) framework involves integrating students’ curiosity, exploration and questioning as key components of language acquisition. They learn the formal aspects of the second language with the support of a robust and coherent programme starting in K4. Parallel to this and as an integral part of the model, language is explored through real-world topics such as culture, science and global issues to make learning meaningful.
